Richard C. Powelson shares his experiences in the form of book, Formulas for Wealth: How to Create a Fortune in Real Estate written with Albert J. Lowry. The book illustrates several methods along with real examples to acquire real estate with little or no money. These include tried and tested techniques as well as new methods like leasing options and landing agreements. A person can adopt all or some of these methods to succeed in business.

The writer does a good review of each method and analyzes its advantages and disadvantages. He explains each method with a suitable example so that the reader can understand the methods practically. He also points out obstacles in each method and ways to avoid them.

The book serves as a good reference material for beginners in the real estate investment. It contains practically everything one needs to know about real estate financing. It forces the reader to think innovatively and to try new methods for investment. However, the print is very small and the matter can get a bit lengthy for novices. The beginner may need to go through the book a few times before fully comprehending it.

Another drawback of the writer is that is uses very low prices in his examples. He should have used realistic prices for real estate since prices are on the higher side, across the country. Nevertheless, the book is very comprehensive and contains a wealth of information. Richard C. Powelson has explained the details of every aspect of financing in simple language.
