Jon Richards was a well-known real estate investor and broker. He was a licensed realtor and had diverse investments that earned him huge profits. Apart from being a practicing real estate businessperson, Jon Richards also taught real estate at the College of Alameda in California as a professor. By education, Jon was a Masters in Counseling Psychology but he is best known as a realty guru. Jon also wrote several courses and books. Jon Richards has published a lot of information on note trading.

Jon Richards was also the President of NoteWorthy Investments, Inc. This company is in note trading and buys 7 – 10 real estate notes each month The company also developed all the primary software that are employed in the discounted note industry, such as, Note Quoter. He was also the publisher of NoteWorthy Newsletter. This newsletter was the primary source of information on cash flows on the secondary market. The newsletter was first published in 1989 and has 1,500 paid subscribers. The annual subscription charges to this newsletter are $89.

Apart from his own newsletter, Jon Richards also wrote for several real estate journals. He was a regular columnist for the Creative Real Estate magazine. Jon Richards died in November 2003 but his courses are still available for students. His most popular books and courses include How To Start a Discounted Note Business, The Truth About the Note Business, Sell Your Property Fast, Real-Estate 101: Income Property Investing, 99 Good Ideas For Finding Notes, and Calculator Power. Another workbook called Calculator Power: A Simple Hands-on Guide to Using a Financial Calculator to Maximize Your Profits tells you about making big money with discounted notes and mortgages. The workbook gives you the info on maximizing your profits.

Richards was an honest and good businessperson. His teachings are still regarded highly.
