John Ulmer is a successful real estate investor. He started his career as a schoolteacher and later went into real estate. He was born into a ‘dysfunctional’ family as the eighth child and did not have a good time growing up. After completing college through a football scholarship, John Ulmer worked as a teacher in Florida on a modest income. There was no plenty in John’s life until he read a book by Mark Haroldson and began investing in real estate. In 1982, John Ulmer started doing deals with no money down and earned good success.

Today, John Ulmer is 51 and is a successful real estate investor. He runs his won real estate company called The Westhaven Group. This company is run by John Ulmer and his sons and is said to gross over twelve million dollars a year. John Ulmer and his employees reportedly acquire five to six properties a week. According to state records, The Westhaven Group is said to hold about 111 residential and commercial deeds under its name. The assessed value of these properties is about 2 million dollars. Ulmer himself claims that his success is attributed to finding a motivated seller who might be under dire circumstances and need to sell the property quickly and willingly. He says he gets referrals from lawyers who might be representing people in divorce cases, or foreclosures or from bank agents who are eager to get some properties off their bank. John Ulmer’s people give easy finance and hardly need any guarantee except that the person holds a steady job.

Apart from being a successful investor, John Ulmer is also a real estate coach. He conducts seminars and writes courses for wannabe investors. Sadly, John Ulmer’s wisdom does not come cheap. His courses cost a lot of money. His course titled Instant Cash Flow Machine costs $500 for four videotapes. Another course, Private Lending, which comes with 2 DVDs, 4 CDs, and a workbook, costs nearly $1,000. If you want to see John Ulmer live, you should be ready to pay $15,000 for his 2-day seminar called Master of the Modern Day Money Machine Boot Camp. Despite this, John Ulmer is popular and many people appreciate his charisma and his teachings.
