Dynamic Essentials was formed back in 1999 in the form of a referral marketing company. Later, in the same year, it became a subsidiary of NBTY Inc., which was listed on NASDAQ. The main product line of the company is Royal Tongan Limu that helps in strengthening the immune system of the body. It comprises of Limu Moui that is a nutritive sea plant that provides the necessary minerals and essential natural vitamins combined with amino acids.
The founders of Dynamic Essentials are Gary Raser and Kevin Jones. The merger of Dynamic Essentials with NBTY was considered a perfect marriage in the sense that the later was one of the largest nutritional products manufacturers. The founders of Dynamic Essentials wanted to create a unique product that the world had not experienced yet.
The Growth Story of Dynamic Essentials and its Eventual Decline
The company is known for its production of Royal Tongan Limu and distribution in as many as 70 different countries across the world. The merger with NBTY further helped in manufacturing and finding abundant raw materials for making of the Royal Tongan Limu.
The company’s marketing team claimed that Royal Tongan Limu helps in treating various diseases like cancer, arthritis and attention deficit disorder. However, back in the beginning of 2003, the users of this product started voluntary destroying the bottles containing Royal Tongan Limu, which was approximately valued at $2,700,000.
It was in October 2003 that the FDA realized the need of a seizure action and closed the production as well as marketing of Royal Tongan Limu in the market. According to FDA, the company was violating the law by asserting that their product was capable of curing the above-mentioned diseases and related deficiencies. Today, the company no longer sells Royal Tongan Limu and its official website has stopped promoting that product.
