OnlyCritiques.com Review:

A logo is a visual brand identity of a company. Industries usually add a symbol to signify their companies and to help customers effortlessly recognize their products. Corporations, services, products, agencies, universities, and colleges all have specially designed identifying emblems or logos.

A logo must have the vital elements of simplicity, proportionality, flexibility, color palette, easily legible fonts, and uniqueness. It is a business tool so it must reflect professionalism, competency, and commitment, and must carry the goals and strategies of the organizations.

Use of vector graphics in a logo design allows resizing and retains design integrity. Complicated and intricate logo designs are not aesthetically pleasing. It is practical and economical to use two or three limited colors, and an uncluttered and universal font. Some common color associations are - blue represents loyalty, trust, and power; yellow - joy, energy, and hope; green represents sustenance, growth, and regeneration. Among shapes, a circle is associated with connection, community, trust, and safety; a rectangle represents strength; and a triangle power and aggression. An example known world over is the Nike “swoosh.”

Outsourcing designing of your logo to a professional designer is a good idea because it adds a fresh perspective to the existing ideas and concepts, and proves to be cost-effective in the end. The process is customer-centric. Always keep in mind that the logo delivers what it promises.

Different types of designs of logos are – text-based, letter-marked based, brand-marked based and icon-based. The type to choose must be decided according to the need, and the message that has to be given to the customers. They have to be able to communicate everything about the company through images or words.

It is sensible to trademark the company name and logo of any business corporation to prevent competitors from infringing on its brand name and identity. It also protects the company against accusations of logo design infringement. It also helps to consult a lawyer to confirm all legal procedures.
